From a very early age I’ve been interested in creating art, sculpture, science, and nature. My daughter, father and grandfather are all dentists. As early as fifth grade my friends and I would go down to Dad’s office and carve wax sculptures and rings and cast them in gold. It was fascinating and enjoyable to me. So when the time came to pick a career I naturally went with Dentistry.
In first year Dental School we carved many teeth in wax for grades. And I was surprised and very pleased when the instructors told me I was number one in class. After graduating UOP Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry I joined up with my father in his practice in San Fernando, California.
I believe one of the most important aspects of practicing dentistry is continued growth in skill and knowledge. That is why over the years, both myself and associates have taken hundreds of hours in advanced dentistry courses. We paid particular attention to cosmetic dentistry, porcelain veneers, and the harmony of the stomatognathic system. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than to see a patient that once could not smile comfortably in public beam with the shear enjoyment of a beautiful smile.
Extensive cosmetic dentistry training has allowed my colleagues and me to do cosmetic procedures with predictable results time and time again. I believe the best way to evaluate a dentist is to
look at their work. I invite you to take a look at our “before and after” photographs on this site.
Another area of keen interest to me is TMJ (tempromandibular joint) and neuromuscular generated facial pain. Over the years my associates and I have been able to manage patient’s pain by the repositioning of the jaw using orthotics. Through this process we are often able to minimize, manage, and sometimes completely relieve TMJ and headache pain.
I enjoy challenges and gain great satisfaction from my work. When I’m not doing dentistry I enjoy spending time with my wife and family. Hiking in the Sierras, traveling, and skiing are some of my favorite activities.
What sets our office apart from others is our advanced training in cosmetic dentistry and smile make-over, as well as TMJ disfunction and its associated facial pains and headaches.
